College Life

Community Involvement
443-412-2090

College Life’s Community Involvement program strives to connect students with meaningful, quality volunteer experiences.

Whether you are an individual volunteer or a large group, are seeking a one time experience, an alternative break program or an ongoing opportunity to volunteer, we will assist you in finding a service opportunity that meets your needs.

Opportunities to be exposed to a variety of social issues such as poverty, the environment, youth, the elderly, and the disabled exist locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.  HCC has connections with local nonprofit organizations such as SARC (Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center, Inc.) and Peaceful Waters as well as national and international organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, and the Red Cross.  Regardless of where you volunteer, your time and energy will make a difference.

Take some time to look around the website to find out about the abundance of opportunities in which you can get involved.  To view a directory of community agencies that serve Harford County, click here.

At Harford Community College students have the opportunity to explore service projects both in and out of the classroom through  academic service learning courses. To learn more about academic service learning opportunities, please contact Jan Brewer at jbrewer@harford.edu.  To learn more about College Life service projects, please contact Priscilla Mint at pmint@harford.edu.

Our goal is to make all materials and services accessible. If you need reasonable accommodations to participate, please contact College Life at 443-412-2373 at least ten calendar days in advance.
