Chesapeake Gallery

The Chesapeake Gallery at Harford Community College features contemporary art by emerging and established artists as well as HCC faculty and students.

Located in the Student Center, the Chesapeake Gallery is the only exhibition space of its kind between Baltimore and Newark. It serves as a vital educational link between the community and the practice of art and design in the region.

Works by Desmond Beach & Elizabeth Miller (Virtual Exhibition)

September 8 - October 31, 2020

As the Chesapeake Gallery pushes through these turbulent times and adapts its exhibits to a strictly online presence, we welcome two artists from the Baltimore/Washington DC area, Desmond Beach and Elizabeth Miller. Their artwork deals with issues of racism, as well as current and historical events surrounding the African American experience. Both of these artists work in a variety of mediums including performance, drawing, sculpture, digital, fiber, installation and photography in order to get their message across to the viewer. Stay tuned for artist interviews, artwork discussions and more by following the Chesapeake Gallery on Facebook.
